so here's the scoop yo!

we're working on new songs. LOTS of them. right now we've got about 6 or 7 finished, a few of them are remakes of songs from the demo. we are either shooting for a long EP, or possibly a full length, depending on how many songs we can crap out. but money is tight, so dont expect that until early '05. HOWEVER!!!! there are plans in the works for something to hold you over(not that you're anxious). you know my little solo project Shame, Shame? well michael has written a few songs himself (thought he doesnt have a name for himself yet). so we are planning on making this 3 way split cd, with a lineup of...

Shame, Shame/Michael Solo/The Night Life

probably 2 songs by each band/person. thats 6 TOTAL SONGS. THATS A LOT OF SHIT. the cool part about it is, we will probably sell it for like 3 bucks. "Across the Pond" might make it on there as one of the night life songs, or maybe "As I Recall..." but either way, there will be at least one new night life song on the split. "Four-Count Turn to the Rear" (that shame, shame song) will be re-recorded, along with a new one, and then 2 never before heard songs by michael. EXCITING YEAH!!! hopefully we will get this stuff done, and have it ready for you late this fall, or early winter. peace.

OUR DEMO IS HALFWAY COMPLETED!!!!!!!! we're going in to finish the rest of it THIS WEEKEND, and HOPEFULLY it can be distributed next week. hope you like it :D

also, the night life would like to take this opportunity to say.....


after the completion of the demo, we will be playing only a handful of shows/parties, and then IMMEDIATELY begin writing for our EP, due sometime in the fall. this EP will probably feature one song off the demo, and up to 4 or 5 other songs yet to be written. also look for major stylistic changes, and possibly the addition of new members (but dont get your hopes up). the EP will include cover art by our WONDERFUL FRIEND MELINDA HARVEY, whose art you can view here. she also did the tree and guitar design on our website! get ready because all of this will happen sooner than you think!
